A contemporary, committed proletarian musical, where fables meet grind, the Rap Fairy grants permission to go to concerts, and the Bakers named M. and J. shower the Seller with flour and insults.
The story of working within rampant capitalism and grind culture, along with the baker stereotype and the symbolism of bread (and hip-hop!), draws from the genuine experiences of real people who pursue their dreams while facing exploitation and oppression.
Based on a text by Mariusz Gołosz, Klaudia Gębska – a student at the Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow – has created a highly energetic performance with a fresh sense of humour, and a bakery in the background. It’s fuelled by dynamic music, fiery choreography and the charisma of a small but very efficient cast.
Minimal expression – maximum effect. From now on, every bite of bread from the artisan bakery, even sourdough rye for a dozen zlotys, will become a real lump in your throat.
