What is contemporary Slavic identity? Do you really need to dress in white linen and move to Biskupin* to feel “Slavic”? The Slavic Year collective seeks answers in other places: in the language that brings us together and in the songs our bodies remember, even when our minds do not.
“Slavic Year Spring 2026” is an interactive, secular Urban Song Ritual where the audience takes part in creating the experience. In the historic Kraftpost Hall, spectators immerse themselves in a process of passage: from heaviness to lightness, from stillness to movement, and from silence to a shared voice. This is not a traditional stage performance, but an experience built on shared presence.
A subtle layer of electronic pulse from the sound system completes the ritual soundscape, emphasising that Slavic identity is not reconstruction, but a living practice, happening here and now, in the voice, in the breath, and in the encounter.
