“Noise, Mother, Glass, System” is a music-performance piece about what happens when love meets an instruction manual and everyday life starts to resemble an operating system. Based on the experience of a mother raising a child on the autism spectrum and workshops with neurodiverse families, the performance tells a story full of tenderness, absurdity, and unexpected humour.
On stage, a professional actress does not “play a role” — she activates a language: rhythms, repetitions, mistakes, and attempts to negotiate with reality. She is accompanied by a voice-over, subtitles and on-screen comments, and live music. This creates something that feels part home, part laboratory, and part freezing computer.
The performance space is not an apartment, but a map of the mother’s nervous system: states of overload, routine, analysis, and longed-for calm appear here. It is a journey through emotional rooms where one can get lost — but also find silence, even if only for a moment.
The show is presented as a relaxed performance, where the audience can wriggle, leave, return, and react without stress. The environment is sensory-friendly, with no sudden loud sounds or flashing lights. This is a theatre that, instead of shouting “silence in the audience!”, says: “make yourself comfortable.”
“Noise, Mother, Glass, System” is a warm, ironic, and deeply human performance about communication, care, and love — the kind that keeps working even when the system is updating.
