Kasia Lins — singer, pianist, songwriter, composer, and performer — steps into the role of Citizen K.L., the female alter ego of Citizen G.C. Singing songs by Grzegorz Ciechowski, she does not invite the audience to a standard “tribute to…” concert, but to a meeting of two strong artistic identities: a contemporary artist creating here and now, and a figure who shaped some of the most important chapters in the history of Polish music.
These new interpretations of Ciechowski’s songs become nocturnal chronicles of body and soul, dense, raw, and intimate. Major hits and lesser-known tracks come together to form a personal story of obsession, desire, love, and death. Citizen versus Citizen: who is watching, and who is being watched?
Kasia Lins says:
“I wanted to enter this world on my own terms, so that these songs wouldn’t sound like memories, but like something that is still breathing. In a way, this album is a conversation with a ghost, with someone who has already said a great deal, yet I feel there is still more to hear. His music carried darkness, sensuality, and honesty that are often missing today. I tried to build something new from these emotions, something that is my own. Maybe in that sense this is not only a reinterpretation, but a meeting between a woman and a man.”
