Daj Ognia move between festivals with telling names (Mėnuo Juodaragis, Ethno Port, Folkowisko, the Festival of Slavs and Vikings, Baraban Etnofest, Budapest Ritmo, Medieval Week), folk music award galas (Nowa Tradycja, Turniej Muzyków Prawdziwych), and a land of imagination — the one that never existed, and yet has always been there.
Their recordings are a potent brew of archaic instruments known mostly to ethnomusicologists, traditional vocal techniques, and hypnotic rhythms driven by powerful drums.
