“Sublimation,” the debut album by Julia Kamińska, turns songs into stories. Each track is a self-contained narrative, exploring themes such as rebellion, longing, loneliness, the need for intimacy, complicated relationships, and emotional entanglement. This isn’t music meant to simply fill the silence – it confronts what’s uncomfortable, personal, and universally human.
On stage, these songs expand into full-bodied performances. Together with Paweł Odoszewski (keys) and Emil Wolski (drums), Julia builds an intense, emotionally charged space where music merges with movement, visuals, and theatrical expression.
A special highlight of the evening will be the presence of guest artists invited by Julia, who will join her on stage throughout the concert. The lineup includes the duo IKARVS, Pomadka Teresa, and Pan Savyan – each representing distinct sensibilities and stage personas. Their participation adds another layer to the concert, transforming it into a truly collective performance where different styles, energies, and ways of expressing emotion come together. The result is a concert that is at once a show and a performative piece – a personal journey through experiences many of us recognise from our own lives.
At this year’s Stage Songs Review, an evening with Julia Kamińska becomes a meeting with an artist who treats song as a storytelling medium – honest, uncompromising, and emotionally direct.
